The Water Division is in charge of the daily operation of the Town’s potable water system, which includes pumping and treatment of over 1.3 billion gallons annually.
Windsor has 140+ miles of distribution mains and over 5 million gallons of water storage. We take great pride in providing high quality drinking water to the residents and businesses in our community.
The system consists of:
- Five large wells located adjacent to the Russian River
- One active off-river well
- Two emergency wells
- Direct connection to the Sonoma County Water Agency aqueduct
- 16 reservoirs
We have nine operators who are state-certified in both water treatment and distribution.
The Town tests a long list of constituents for drinking-water quality in order to comply with all State and Federal regulations. View our 2011
Consumer Confidence Report (Water Quality Report) to see the latest results of constituents that yield detectable levels.
