The Town of Windsor requires a Transportation Permit authorizing the operation or movement, upon Town streets, of non-reducible vehicles and loads of a size and/or weight as allowed in the California Vehicle Code (CVC) Section 35780. Windsor Bridge Load Map

In order to apply for and receive a Transportation Permit you must submit a completed Transportation Permit Application Form and meet all Transportation Permit Conditions.

Daily Permit Application Form

• Issued for one trip
• Fee: $16
• Daily permits are received and issued by fax or email
• The permit is reviewed and issued within the same day of receipt until 4:00 pm
• Bills are sent at the beginning of each month for permits issued the previous month.

Annual Permits Application Form 

• Issued for one year, with unlimited trips
• Fee: $90
• Must include a legible copy of your State Transportation Permit
• Annual permits are received and issued by mail or in person
• The permit is reviewed and issued as soon as possible
• Bills are sent at the beginning of each month for permits issued the previous month.
