Please Recycle!
California Assembly Bill (AB) 341, California's New Mandatory Commercial Recycling Law
takes effect on July 1, 2012 requiring all businesses that generate four (4) or more cubic yards of waste per week to recycle. Businesses include any commercial or public entity, including not-for-profits, retail centers and school facilities. AB 341 also requires all multifamily dwellings of five (5) or more units to recycle.
The purpose of the law is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by diverting commercial solid waste to recycling efforts.
