2017 Special Election

The Special Municipal Election for the Town of Windsor will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. 

Information on Ballot Measures

On June 7, 2017 the Council took action by Resolution No. 3370-17 to call and give notice of the holding of a Special Election on November 7, 2017 to ask voters to adopt a resolution that would: 1) extend the duration of the Town of Windsor Urban Growth Boundary (“UGB”) to December 31, 2040; (2) revise the boundaries of the UGB to include approximately 22.5 additional acres of land for future business growth located at 1246, 1264 and 1346 Shiloh Road (Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 164-150-010, 164-150-009, and 164-150-054); and (3) amend certain General Plan Policies regarding implementation of the UGB; requesting that the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors consent to the consolidation by the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters of the special election to be held November 7, 2017, and authorizing the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters to canvass the election results for such election; and requesting the Town Attorney to prepare and file an Impartial Analysis of the proposed ballot measure.
