Due to the Coronavirus emergency, all in-home visits have been suspended.

 In partnership with the Sonoma County Green Business Program and Economic Development Board, the Town of Windsor offers all commercial, industrial, and institutional accounts free comprehensive water use assessments.

These assessments are conducted by staff, or a qualified, independent contractor who provides you with a voluntary action plan for the reduction of water use and wastewater production at your facility. These voluntary action plans focus on ways your business can save money.

Sonoma County Energy Independence Office (EIO)

The EIO helps Sonoma County’s residential and commercial property owners and tenants save energy and water and install renewable energy sources such as solar panels. Its services include free commercial energy and water audits with energy cost savings reports, technical consultation and advice, rebate and incentive facilitation, assistance finding funds and financing including Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing, and Green Business certification. Sprinklers in the parkLarge Landscape Water Use Survey Program

All commercial, industrial, and institutional accounts with mixed-use meters are eligible to receive a free landscape water use survey.

The large landscape water use survey includes measurement of landscape area, measurement of total irrigable area, irrigation systems check, and distribution uniformity analysis. This information will be used to develop irrigation schedules and to provide each customer with a survey report.

High Efficiency Urinal (HEU) Rebate Program                

The Town of Windsor is offering rebates of up to $300 per fixture to Windsor businesses that retrofit older urinals with high efficiency pint flush or waterless models. An older urinal is one that uses a gallon or more per flush. Participation must be pre-approved through the completion of a brief water use assessment of your business. To schedule an appointment, call a water conservation representative at 838-5357 during regular business hours, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, or send an email request.

Is your older, inefficient and water wasting irrigation system putting a dent in your bottom line? Are you paying to maintain an under utilized lawn? Let the Town of Windsor help your business save both water and money by participating in WEL. We will provide a rebate of up to $650 for commercial mixed-use meter accounts and up to $2,500 for commercial dedicated irrigation meter accounts when you remove water thirsty turf and/or upgrade your landscape with new, water saving irrigation equipment.

Get as much as $25,000 to help upgrade your business with water efficient equipment!

The Town of Windsor is now offering incentives to commercial, industrial, and institutional water customers for the implementation of process and equipment changes that reduce water use by at least 50,000 gallons per year.
