The 2020 Census counts every person livingin the United States and five U.S. territories — once, only once, and in the right place. This census is conducted every 10 years by the U.S. Census Bureau, a nonpartisan government agency.
Why?
The results of the census determines the Town of Windsor’s congressional representation as well as federal funding for our community. Every year, more than $675 billion goes toward hospitals, fire departments, schools, roads, housing, emergency preparedness; and businesses use this information to determine where to place a new store, develop business, invest in residential development and more. Help us get our fair share by participating and spreading the word!
April 1, 2020 — Census Day is observed nationwide. By this date, households will receive aninvitation to participate. You’ll have three options for responding: online, by mail, or by phone.
