Downtown Shell Station Remodel

The Town has received a request for Site Plan and Design Review approval for a major remodel of the existing downtown Shell Gas Station located at 9033 Old Redwood Highway.  The project would include demolition of the existing 2,321-square foot convenience store/carwash building; six fuel dispensers; and 3,000-square foot overhead canopy.  New construction would consist of a 2,432-square foot convenience store; 1,132-self serve drive-through carwash tunnel with 248-square foot equipment room; and four fuel dispensers with 2,733-square foot overhead canopy.  The new convenience store would be open 24-hours a day, consistent with current operations. The site is an open Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) site with an approved Corrective Action Plan.   A Lot Line Adjustment is requested in conjunction with a proposal to purchase approximately 4,194 square feet of excess Town right-of-way in a narrow strip along the northern property line.Downtown Shell Station Picture
