Building Division

The Building Division will be holding on-site counter hours Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. in Building 400 at Town Hall (9291 Old Redwood Highway) and by appointment.

Staff is responding to all e-mails and phone calls as quickly as we can.  You can expect a response from Community Development Department staff (Planning and Building) within 24-48 hours.  

Please note, calls or e-mails received after 6 p.m. on Thursdays, or on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, will be responded to the following Monday.

Staff working hours are Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Overview


The Building Division is responsible for the enforcement of the California Code of Regulations Title 24 to safeguard the public health and welfare and access to persons with disabilities.

These objectives are accomplished by regulating and controlling the design, construction, quality of materials, use occupancy and location of all buildings and structures within the jurisdiction of the Town of Windsor.

Our goals are to:
  • Provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to the public in a friendly manner
  • Provide efficient plan review and building inspection services for compliance with Town ordinances, state law and model codes
  • Provide competent code enforcement investigations within a reasonable time frame for all complaints
  • Provide education for the general public and construction professionals as it relates to new regulations and methods
