Our treatment plant occupies 74-acres. The current plant configuration consists of:
- An Influent Pumping Station
- Headworks
- Two Bio-lac Aeration Basins
- Secondary Clarification
- Advanced Water Treatment Facilities
- Sand Filtration
- UV Disinfection
Overview
The Wastewater Treatment Plant staff is responsible for the treatment and storage of the Town's wastewater.
The Town has seven State Certified Wastewater Operators who operate the Wastewater Treatment Plant 24 hours a day/seven days a week. We also have a staff of six who maintain the collection and recycled water distribution system.
Effluent Storage Facilities
The Town of Windsor currently has five effluent storage ponds with storage capacity of approximately 122 MG. Ponds 7 and 5 are located on the south portion of the Town of Windsor treatment plant site. Ponds 8, 9 and 10 are located north of the Windsor Golf Course and south of Mitchell Lane.
