The Fall Community Cleanup supported by Windsor Refuse & Recycling will be on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, September 14, 15, and 16. Single family residential customers only will be permitted to dispose of up to six (6) total cubic yards consisting of any combination of solid waste, recyclables, clean wood waste and scrap metal. Bins will be provided for household garbage, clean wood waste, scrap metal, recycling, yard waste and non-Freon appliances. The following materials are prohibited: mattresses*, tires, hazardous waste (paint, oil, solvents, batteries, microwaves, electronic waste, etc.), pressure treated wood, concrete and Freon appliances*.
The cleanup will be held at the Town’s Corporation Yard located across from Windsor High School at 8400 Windsor Road and hours of operation are 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. No appointment is needed. Single family residential customers must provide a copy of the Fall Community Cleanup flyer received in the mail or a driver’s license with a valid Windsor address.
*Freon appliances (freezers, refrigerators & air conditioners) or mattresses can be picked up from your residence for a fee by appointment only. Call (707) 586-5545.
