The next General Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, and the Town of Windsor will have three (3) Council Member seats available for four-year terms.
Official nomination petitions for eligible candidates (registered voter residing in the Town) desiring to file for the office(s), may be obtained from the office of the Town Clerk beginning Monday, July 16, 2018, during regular business hours, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The final date and time for filing any nomination documents, unless an incumbent does not file, will be Friday, August 10, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. If nomination papers from an incumbent Town Councilmember are not filed by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018, the Nomination Period will be extended until Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. for non-incumbents only.
It is recommended that you contact the Town Clerk, Maria De La O, at 838-5315 to set up an appointment to obtain or file nomination documents. Nomination documents can only be issued and received by the Town Clerk or Deputy Town Clerk.
The Town Clerk’s Office is located at 9291 Old Redwood Highway, Building 400 in Windsor; and is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, except for holidays. For the purpose of receiving nomination documents, in accordance with the Elections Code, the Town Clerk’s Office will also be open on Friday, August 10, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
